Bodrum was such a great experience so far. The new and modern Swissôtel Resort Bodrum Beach where my sister and I stayed in for five days is directly located in the waterfront in Turgutreis, a very popular destination as it offers great water activities, culture and relaxation.
WHERE TO STAY: At the Swissôtel Resort Bodrum Beach. My sister and I stayed five days at the hotel and enjoyed it to the fullest. I think Bodrum is Turkey’s most popular destination in the summer. Thanks to it’s climate, natural beauty and lovely inhabitants.
ABOUT THE HOTEL: the hotel comprises 66 rooms and suites, with minimum 40 m² per room. This is complimented by 72 serviced residences at 85-348 m². The restaurants and bars are places of entertainment, where the ambience runs from formal to casual. My sister and I loved to switch the restaurants day by day. We tried the Asian restaurant that is located at their Rooftop ( their Avocado Sushi was just more than delicious ), than the Seafood Restaurant in front of the beach ( no worries, they also have a vegetarian food ) or the Room Service. All dishes are prepared with their best local products.
HOW TO GET THERE: I flew from Hamburg to Istanbul and from Istanbul to Bodrum with Turkish Airlines. I must admit, that Turkish Airlines have a great service and a perfect tv entertainment during short and also long flights. Also, I’m always scared about Connection Flights, but this time everything went well and I’m super thankful that the Airline did their job really well! Furthermore you have to be patient and calm when it comes to the Taxi transfer. It takes such a long time to get from A to B as every place is far away from each other. For example, my sister and I sat over two hours in the Taxi to get from the Airport to our Hotel, but at that time we also caught the wrong time as it was rush hour. However, the Swissotel is 20 km far away from the centre of Bodrum, a very popular destination as it offers lovely restaurants, shops and sight seeing stuff.
WHAT TO DO & TIPS:
– take a time off and buy a ticket to Cos as it’s just 30 minutes away by ferry!
– do water activities
– Boat Tour
– enjoy the incredible sunset by having dinner
– rent a car instead driving taxi as it’s very expensive
– rent a bike and discover the area by your own
