Leon and I knew that it’s currently ‚Winter season‘ in the Seychelles and Mauritius when we booked our flights to both islands. I must admit that we had luck with the weather in the Seychelles, but not in Mauritius during our first days. It was grey, cold and rainy when we arrived on the island. To be honest, I was quite shocked, because I didn’t expect such a terrible weather, but I tried to stay positive and counted the days until the sun came out. The more I was happy that Leon and I stayed in such a wonderful hotel that is called Lux* Belle Mare. A luxury hotel stretch of the islands eastern coast in Mauritius tucked away in lush tropical gardens near the quaint, sleepy village of Belle Mare.
The hotel offer wonderful suites and villas that are blessed with sea views to the powder soft sands, crystalline water and coconut palms. That’s paradise! The main part of the hotel is the huge swimming pool where you can chill, relax, work on your tan and try some homemade Lux* ice cream that you easily get near the pool. Furthermore you have several activity options. For example, do some water sport activities, book a bicycle tour to explore Mauritius island ( Leon and I did that trip and it made so much fun ), try their homemade ice cream, their own roasted coffee or a SPA treatment. Believe me, there is a lot to do in case you wanna have some action. The funniest part was the Rum Tasting as they have a own Rum House called ‚Mari Kontan‘ located in the heart of the hotel.
Tree of Wishes: My favorite highlight was the Tree of Wishes, where you can take a piece of paper and write down your wishes to hang them on the Lux‘ Belle Mare ‚Tree of Wishes‘. 😉
Beach Rouge: a beach restaurant that has open during lunch and dinner.
Mixe: mixe offers several types of dishes. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at that place.
Amari by Vineet: a well-known and traditional indian restaurant that offers delicious food. Leon and I loved it there!
Café Lux*: enjoy Lux* roasted coffee. I loved drinking my Iced Coffee their!
Mari Kontan: that’s the Rum House where Leon and I experienced our very first Rum tasting.
Duck Laundry: a la carte asian restaurant.
Gym: the Lux* Hotel has a great GYM Area where you can work out during the whole day!
